My abstract drawings, paintings, and conceptual works are inspired by the natural world and life events.  In recent years my work has been in juried exhibitions including The Big Show at Lawndale, the Live Oak Annual Juried Art Exhibition, Assistance League of Houston Celebrates Texas Art, Visual Art Alliance shows, Archway Gallery, and the Texas National in Nacogdoches.  My first solo exhibition was at Bunker Hill Village City Hall. My work has also been in invitational group exhibitions at MotherDog Studios, where it has been a part of the annual Houston Warehouse District ArtCrawl.  I have also contributed annually to silent art auctions to benefit local nonprofit institutions.  I began drawing and painting at an early age, and began formal art studies in high school in Virginia.  I studied studio art, art history, and theater design in college and graduate school, and hold degrees from the University of Virginia and The University of Texas at Austin.
