32nd JURIED VAA MEMBERSHIP EXHIBITION

The Visual Arts Alliance (VAA), is pleased to announce their 32nd Juried Membership Exhibition at 1600 Smith Street @ Pease, (2nd floor, Concourse Level) Houston, TX. The public is invited to join us for the opening reception and awards on Friday, October 3 from 6-8:00 p.m.

 

Our juror this year is Dennis Nance, the Director of Exhibitions and Programming at Lawndale Art Center. Nance will present over $2500 in cash and merchandise to the selected artists chosen to exhibit from the 422 pieces of artwork submitted by 116 VAA members.

 

The VAA exhibition can be viewed during business hours, Monday-Friday, September 29 through November 14, 2014.

 

A wide range of talent in paintings, collage, photography, mixed media and sculpture can be viewed during show dates. VAA encourages your patronage and takesno commission on sales. Your artwork purchase can be made directly to the artist.

 

To further the visibility and support of VAA’s artists, a color catalog of the juried work is available, as well as a promotional CD of all the submissions with the artists’ contact information. This CD’s will be distributed to Houston galleries to bring attention to the creative talent in this organization.

 

Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) is an educational organization for serious practitioners of the visual arts and interested members of the general public. Founded in Houston, TX in 1981, VAA is an all-volunteer-run, 501(c)3, non-profit organization. VAA produces professionally juried art exhibitions providing opportunities for members and non-members to have their work professionally judged and viewed by the general public. VAA also organizes educational programs including studio, gallery and museum tours in addition to presentations of art-related resources. Recreational programs provide creative and supportive events beneficial to artists.
