Arielle Masson Studio Visit and Artist Talk

Arielle Masson hosted members and guests at her studio. She discussed all aspects of her painting techniques. Her practice includes all painting media and she specializes in the fabrication and use of egg tempera and gouche. Recently she has extended her art to designing major public art pieces for the City of Houston and the Metro Light Transit in Houston.

 

Arielle is an internationally known artist and Professor at Glassell School, MFAH. She was born in Mexico and grew up in Brussels, Belgium. She studied at La Sorbonne in Paris and received her Master of Literature and post graduate studies in Linguistics. She moved to Houston in 1986 and received her Master in Fine Arts/Painting at the University of Houston and a Fellowship in the CORE Program from the Glassell School, MFAH.
